This editorial illustration was done for the Aleks Krotoski column titled Eternal September for BBC Science Focus Magazine.

The article talks about back in 1993 with the sharp rise in internet users caused by AOL brought in new users to the virtual realm who had little to no net etiquette resulting in many older net users coining the term Eternal September since many saw the uptick in new users to never end.

Parallel this to the current day where because of the pandemic many people are now using more virtual worlds to communicate with each other to the point where doing so isn’t that bad for the old denizens of the internet and how both users old and new can benefit from each other.
