Super Mario Super Art Show

The Super Mario Super Art Show was a celebration of all things based on a certain portly plumber and his brother. Curated by Chogrin and displayed in the Bottleneck Gallery New York. The show feature numerous depictions of Mario and pals throughout his adventures from the video games that made him a household name to the cartoons and movie.

So for this piece I wanted to celebrate mario’s idle animation as personally, it is one of the things that really adds to his character. For anyone that doesn’t know, Mario will go to sleep when idle but will still make gestures and comments while sleeping. Also in later games even a bird lands on his nose.
